How to use the Group Styles Inventory™

Published on 02 Apr 2019

If you're accredited in the Lifestyles Inventory (LSI), then you were accredited in the Group Styles Inventory™ (GSI) too. A lot of our practitioners in Australia don't always realise as they are often more focused on their own LSI. In this episode we give some tips and structure about what the GSI is, when to use it, and how to use it.

Key Points We Talk About in this Episode:

When to use the Group Styles Inventory™ (GSI)?

the Group Styles Inventory™ is a great way to build and maintain momentum following individual LSI development. It's also great for building a common language and understanding during organisational culture development programs.

Use the Group Styles Inventory together with a Simulation

One of our Survival Simulations takes out people being an expert so it really focuses people on the group processes. Simulations are great for building team problem solving capabilities. Combine it with a GSI to further extend the discussion to how effectively the group actually worked together.

Use the Group Styles Inventory™ together with a Real Business Meeting

You can also use it as part of a real team meeting. Use the GSI to review and reflect on how we went on that discussion, where did the team spend it's time? Having data enables the team to have a deeper conversation in a data driven way rather than simply throwing opinions around.
