The Culture Transformation and Sustainability Awards recognise organisations which have created a Constructive Culture or sustained a Constructive Culture on a subsequent remeasure using the Organisational Culture Inventory® (OCI).

This year we are pleased to announce one of our Sustainability Award winners - ACF! Congratulations!

The Australian Conservation Foundation is Australia’s national environment organisation – over half a million people, creating a world where forests, rivers, people and wildlife thrive. For more than 50 years, we’ve been protecting the web of life across our continent, from the Kimberley to the Reef and down the Great Dividing Range to Tasmania’s forests. We bring together people from community, government and business. We hold decision makers to account. We champion big ideas and find common ground with unlikely partners. We are proudly independent, non-partisan and funded by donations from our supporters.

For nine years we have been on a journey to strengthen our culture. While leadership excellence has been a linchpin, it has involved everyone. Transparency defined the start of this journey, when we empowered staff to design the organisational structure they wanted. Throughout the pandemic we built on this, trusting staff to work when they could and giving them the space they needed to care for their families and communities. This radical trust has strengthened our creativity and collaboration, as well contributed to our ability to deliver impactful campaigns across the country.

We continue to measure the impact of our culture work, invest in our leaders and be open to better ways of doing things to move our organisational culture further into the ‘blue’ constructive styles.

Saving the planet is a tough job, so we look after each other to make the changes we need to see in the world.

This award marks Australian Conservation Foundation’s third consecutive Culture Sustainability Award, which is a huge testament to their dedication and commitment to a constructive, collaborative culture where people continue to love coming to work each day!
